Finding Refuge in Nature

Sometimes you need to immerse yourself in nature and explore all that it can offer so that you may ease the grief caused by the world around you and remember that hope exists within the pack of the coyotes howling at night and March’s melting ice. Touching the soft late winter moss, filled with the snow’s dewy elixir, readying all roots for spring, I am reminded that we, too, can nourish the roots beneath what is seen above and pray that all hearts may thaw so we can all thrive and grow towards the sun.

Here is a little photo essay of our weekend away at a Quaker retreat center at a cabin in the woods.
